For Research Participants

Frequently asked,
honestly answered.

Most of these come up when people are deciding whether to sign up. If yours isn’t here, give us a call.

How does paid research work?

When companies want to know what real customers think, they hire research firms like ours to talk to those customers. We recruit people for surveys, focus groups, in-home interviews, and product tests, and pay you for your time. When a study fits your background, we’ll reach out, do a brief screening to confirm you qualify, then schedule the session. You show up, share your honest opinions, and get paid.

How much do studies pay?

Most studies pay $50 to $150 for one to two hours, depending on the topic and what we’re asking of you. Some pay more — for example, longer in-home interviews or specialized professional studies.

Will you sell my information?

No. Never. We’re paid by clients to recruit participants, not to collect data. We don’t sell, give, or transfer your information to any third party. You will never receive marketing emails, robo-calls, or any other contact from our clients as a result of signing up. The only contact you’ll get from us is to invite you to a study you may qualify for.

Why do you ask so many questions when you reach out?

Every question helps the research team reach the right mix of people for a specific study. Demographic questions (age, gender, ethnicity) usually exist to ensure a representative cross-section. Questions about kids, household income, the car you drive, or your job are about matching you to studies where those things are relevant. We never ask for sensitive information like Social Security numbers, account numbers, or passwords.

Wouldn’t it be easier to just tell us who you’re looking for?

It would — but it would also ruin the research. If we told everyone "we need people who drive a Tesla," some would say they do just to get into the study. The data would be useless. So we ask indirect questions and verify the answers behind the scenes. That’s part of what "100% validation on every recruit" actually means.

What information do you actually have about me?

The most sensitive thing we hold is your name, address, and email — basically what’s needed to contact you and confirm you’re a real person. That’s it. We do not ask for or store Social Security numbers, account numbers, passwords, or anything similar.

How is my information stored?

Everything is collected over HTTPS, stored in an encrypted database, and accessible only to our internal recruiting team and IT staff. No researcher, no client, no third party ever has direct access.

Will researchers and clients know who I am?

No. Researchers and clients only ever see your first name and last initial. Your last name, contact info, and other identifying data stay with our recruiting team.

I don’t want to be contacted anymore. How do I opt out?

Easy. Tell any recruiter on the phone to remove you, or reply to any email from us with REMOVE in the subject line. You’ll be off the list within 24–48 hours and you’ll never hear from us again.
