Participation Info
Scheduled to participate? Here’s what you need to know.
Check your email
We will send you an email with your appointment details including the date, time, location, and a confirmation of the amount you will receive. This email is important, and may contain additional instructions specifically for the study you are participating in. Please read it carefully, and if you haven’t received it by a day or two before the study, please contact us.
No babysitting
Unless your children are participating in a study, please do not bring them. They cannot be admitted into the group or interview with you, and we do not have staff available to watch them.
Glasses, hearing aids, etc.
Participation in a research study often requires that you look at printed materials, view clips on a TV screen, or use a tablet or computer. If you need glasses to see, or a hearing aid to hear, please make sure to bring them with you.
Bring ID
We do check ID to make sure that participants are over 18, and to make sure that the people we recruited are the people actually participating. Please bring a photo ID with you.
Show up early
You will be asked to show up 10-15 minutes before the group start time. This ensures that we can get everyone checked in and start on time.
If you run late
If you are running late please call us asap to let us know. In some cases we can still accept and pay late arrivals, but sometimes we cannot pay people who arrive late. If you are too late to participate and be paid, we want to tell you that before you get here for nothing! The best policy, of course, is to allow plenty of time for traffic, weather, construction, etc.
If you need to cancel or change appointments
Please call us as soon as you can if you cannot make your appointment. You can call us at 734-397-3400 or email [email protected].
